Ulrike Hildebrand has 14 years of experience in the field of Human Resources in an international and multi-cultural environment. As former senior executive of Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC and Benteler Automotive Corporation she has an intimate knowledge of the automotive industry. In her years as Human Resources executive she held responsibility for all functions within Human Resources, ranging from recruiting, compensation & benefits, expatriate management, employee & labor relations to individual & organizational development. While successful in all areas, Ulrike's passion lies with the development function, as she strongly believes people - and most importantly capable leaders - are the key to success for any business. Ulrike's strengths are in analyzing the situation and in developing and delivering concepts and solutions for individual and organizational challenges in cooperation with you.
Ulrike has a strategic outlook on company and employee needs, balancing those to mutual benefit. Her strong leadership skills are based on her honesty, integrity and courage to address difficult situations and make decisions where others hesitate. In her past years on executive row she has proven to be a most valuable advisor to the leader of the company and executive management in all Human Resources related matters. As a citizen of both the US and Germany, Ulrike is fluent in both German and English.
Previously, Ulrike was the Vice President of Human Resources for Benteler Automotive Corporation where among other achievements she developed the HR function to be a partner in business, established an employee development strategy including the implementation of a Learning Management System, designed and rolled out a regional rewards and recognition program and introduced a health management system to contain and reduce the company’s healthcare cost.
Prior to Benteler Automotive Ulrike was the General Manager of Human Resources at Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC, the North American Sales & Marketing organization of Mercedes-Benz, one of the first non-natives ever to run Human Resources in the history of Daimler Benz. Her contribution to the Mercedes-Benz management team included the building and developing a self-sufficient team of HR experts that were recognized and accepted as business partners in questions of organizational design, addressing short and long term recruiting needs, managing people and performance as well as providing fairness and consistency throughout the organization in regards to job evaluations, promotions and compensation.
Ulrike has four years of experience in international sales in the pharmaceutical industry, prior to obtaining her degree of Diplom Oeconom at Carl-von-Ossietzky Universitaet in Oldenburg, Germany with majors in Strategic Business Management, Human Resources Management and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She is a certified coach and trainer for Crucial Conversations.
